Our group of 11 had a fantastic stay at group site 2. We loved the location - close to the bathrooms (but not too close - just across the street!), close to the stream, and far enough away from the other group sites that it felt like a private setup most of the time. We thought the site was perfect and had lots of flat areas to set up our tents, as well as enough well-positioned trees to set up several hammocks. The site was clean and well maintained. We had turkey visitors daily, and 7am wake up calls from our crow friends. We did have a large black bear make its way through our site one day, but as we had followed protocol and put away all smellables each time we were done cooking/eating - it paid us no mind and continued on its way. Park rangers and staff were friendly and helpful. Bathrooms collected bug friends each day, but each morning the bathrooms were cleaned out. We did see a HUGE spider under one of the toilets - so I suggest checking before you sit down. We had zero service (att, Verizon, t-mobile), but were able to connect to satellite to send text messages, when needed. Highly recommend biking the loop - we caught the last Wednesday of the season, and it was amazing. We cant wait to come back.

Such a wonderful time. The check in staff and workers at store were great. Thank you for making the stay so special

The Cades Cove group campsites are so beautiful. Each site is shaded, lots of big trees, plenty of spots for tent setup, with easy access to the central bathroom. I love the pavilion in the group site for large/covered meals.

Keep your food and water up at all times. Was visited by a bear 3 times in one day going through our campsite. It was awesome listening to the coyote's waking up one morning howling. Weather was perfect!!

I have been camping many times at Cades Cove and always have had a great experience. Group sites are very spacious and private. Yes, it is usually busy (especially weekends and holidays) and will sit in traffic some while going around the loop but it’s a beautiful place to be.

The group site was HUGE! Group 2 was a close walk to the bathrooms and dish washing station. There are maybe 4 different fire pits and lots of places for tents and hammocks. We like to hike to Mount Le Conte which is a longer drive from Cades cove (approx 30 min or so) but not unreasonable. Also horse stables are near by. Main complaint was we stood outside the ranger station to check in for an hour and nobody opened the door so we ended up leaving.

Our GS Troop stayed overnight here. We had a great first time camping experience...despite the rain. Lol
