Amazing campsite with a very charming creek running behind it.

Very nice campground with easy access to some awesome trails. I would definitely go back and recommend to anyone who likes to do some hiking.

Big Creek is an excellent campground. Firewood is scarce, though, so plan on buying some before entering the park if you want to have a campfire.

This is a construction zone. They are paving the whole campground with road ballast. Rather than close the campground, the park service is having construction workers driving heavy machinery through the campsites early in the morning and clearing people out. I watched one guy complain about the noise to the workers and the workers called the rangers and tried to have him arrested- they searched his car and cuffed him and all but there was no crime so they had to let him go. Was just a horrible camp trip all around.

The best park of camping is always the beauty of the area. We also enjoy our fellow campers as most campers appreciate and take care of the surroundings. More funds are needed to maintain the roads in and out of the camp as there are large potholes on the narrow entrance roads.

I hesitate to say anything good about Big Creek Campground for fear others will flock to the site.
If you are a tent camper and love the Smokies, hiking, water, waterfalls, quiet, etc. this is your site.

Absolutely beautiful. Right next to -- it probably shouldn't be a surprise, but -- a big creek! You can hear it as you sleep. I like the small size, only a few campsites. Nice trails nearby. Highly recommend.

Needed to really bundle up at night -- at least one was in the 20s -- but nonetheless a great weekend!

The place is amazing, and I liked it so much. The only complaint I have is when I get in in the campground 35 (that place was closed due to bear attack), I could not find the trail to campground 36. There was no sign. Since it was raining and I not right on how to find that, Ive decided to keep walking to campground 38, and I skipped one night in the mountain.
