Beautiful campsite, a little over priced for what you get.

Wonderful campground! Hostess was very nice and came around the park a lot to make sure all was well! The sound of the river is so peaceful and relaxing! Bathrooms were very clean and well kept! We will be staying here again soon for sure!

Site was not the best - Site 8 You could see where they had cut a lot of trees in/near the site. Which was fine but they placed all the debris from the trees in the paths going to the river so the site had no access to the water (one reason we booked this site). Also the men who had booked site 9 should never have been in the campground. They left a cooler out the first day while gone fishing. The next evening as sitting around the campfire several of them went to the back side of the campsite to pee. All of the campground could see what they were doing if they looked. Not only was it bad they did it in site of anyone it was right next to the river. Looked for the host that evening and next morning and never saw them to let them know about it. We love camping here so we will be back, this one bad trip will not stop of from others.

Bring your bikes! Hike during the day then ride into the valley to see the elk in the evening . We had a wonderful time. Campground is quiet and the scenery is beautiful. We’ve been in summer fall and winter and each season has its own beauty.

No problems. I have stayed in campground over the years and it is generally quiet. Recent trip was very pleasant and the temperatures even in mid summer are comfortable in the campground and vicinity. Two main access points to campground. Both, can be a little tricky, but not too bad. The suggested route would be of I-40, exit 20.

It amazes me how resources are placed in some areas but not in others. Trails are maintained, Wildlife is protected, but campgrounds are like they were is 1920. Big Dead Trees waiting to fall on campers, no showers, skimpy 1 or two hole bathrooms in a campground with 90% tenters. Get some upgrades please!

Really enjoyed the quietness of the Area. Loved seeing the Elk and we also got to see a momma bear and her cub. Nice trails.

It was very well kept and seeing the elk roam around in the campground was great.

One of our favorite campgrounds. Great place to see elk and lots of hiking trails.
