i assume, due to staffing, the overgrown, unhealthy trees are still standing in the camping grounds. Two trees fell, one almost hitting a camper and landing about 25 feet from my tent. The trees are leaning, and some are unhealthy and should be removed for safety.I would consider some parts of this campground unsafe until the trees are examined.

Generator crimes. Although my reservation indicated the site could fit a 23 ft vehicle, it barely fit my 18.5 ft Suburban. The site was very small and very close to neighboring sites, with no trees or foliage to provide privacy. The next-door neighbors ran their generator until 9:30 pm, which although permitted, was very loud and disruptive. They also encroached on my site by hanging hammocks in the trees on my site! Despite the rules saying generators had to be switched off at 10 pm, the people across from me started theirs up at 10:45 pm and ran it for at least 45 mins. This campground is good for location and if you want to see moose wandering around, but otherwise, I don't rate it for price or ambiance.

Pad sites are very tight, unlevel, and covered with a cheap rotted down mulch, an unforeseen rain made this mulch a dirty mess that tracked EVERYWHERE! inside camper, truck and shoes. like working with tar , could not avoid it. Not only that , but no hookups, very limited restrooms that cannot accommodate the number of sites. For a no hook up site ,the price was very expensive . A full hookup site with concrete pad and excellent facilities IN Yellowstone Park was cheaper! I WILL never stay at this dump again. For the price charged , ( simple math equates to $16,000 income per day) and no effort apparent from staff it is a ripoff compared to other private and state parks.
