Quiet and out of the way. Ample deadfall for firewood. Sandhill Crane chorus at sunset. Lots of moose sign in camp, but no encounters.

Loved how quiet this CG was with plenty of trees. We were in one of the no generator sections. This is a great area to see moose from the road just down the street!

Site #226 was a good campsite. It is set among several willow trees. Good separation from nearby campsites. One of just a few campsites at Gros Ventre with a view of the Tetons. The closest restrooms were very close.

The outside tent loop has sweet views, of all the sites around the campsite we have stayed at over the years i like this one the best, site 226. Moose, osprey, hawks, owls and coyotes frequent this area too. Enjoy this centrally located no- frills campground in the heart of the Teton valley.

The experience we had at the Gros Ventre Campground was awesome. The park is beautiful and we saw moose 4 times during our stay.

Campground was well kept. Spot had bear box, picnic table, fire ring, plenty of flat ground for tent and ample asphalt parking. Standard toilets, sinks with running water, water spigot and garbage dump near most sites. By 9 pm most nights were quiet enough to go to sleep in a tent. No road noise from nearby highway. Ice and fire wood for sale at front office. Folks running front office and check-ins were very friendly and helpful.

We missed our scheduled departure from Grand Teton NP so went to Recreation.gov to see if any campsites were available in the park. So lucky that 1 campsite was open at Gros Ventre and it was a great site, spacious, open and well kept. We only stayed one night but had excellent views of the Tetons at sunset and sunrise and overall wonderful experience and the highlight of our stay. Recreation.gov folks were considerate of our circumstances worked with us to find a site after several trys at other locations. We appreciate and thank you!
