Took a Cruise America 30' RV here and stayed in Loop D #177. It was a great spot and it fit the RV and our Sienna Van. Even though it was sold out, it was a nice and quiet campground overall. Campsites were decently spaced apart. Check in process was smooth and staff are friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Luckily when we checked out there was no line for the dump station, but we heard it can get busy during check out time. We would definitely stay here again!

Sites are close together but overall what a nice campground. Perfect beautiful location. Close to Jackson and the Tetons. I would recommend staying here over anywhere else.

Site 177D was great - far enough from the neighbors to give plenty of privacy, and backing to a vast wilderness of trees, field and eventually a river which we walked to several times. Moose poop everywhere, although we did not encounter any moose at the campground. Saw a momma moose and a baby a little outside the campground down by the river. Level, paved site and electric was a big plus! There are no amenities at this campground (like a grocery shop, visitor center, laundromat etc.) so come prepared with everything you need. Although many people mention issues and long lines at the dump station, we only had 1 RV in front of us at our scheduled 11am time. Fast and easy. Even though we enjoyed the campground and our campsite, it felt too far from all the main attractions and activities in Grand Teton NP. For that reason, next time we would probably try to get a campsite more inside the park (like Colter Bay RV Park which we stayed at for 3 nights and enjoyed a lot).

Nice site. Electric only. Level. We backed up to the river with a short walk. Wildlife all around. Site was close to bathrooms. No showers. Must sign up with rangers to dump as there is a limit per day of how many may dump. Awesome stay.

Great proximity to Jackson and the park. Staff was amazing, sites are nicely spaced out, cell service is spotty but with Verizon I could text and make calls and occasionally browse.

Great campground, TONS of wildlife! We stayed in loop D, electric only. All the sites were level asphalt with bear boxes. Our picnic bench was in need of replacing but in the end it's just a picnic bench. Other than a short walk to the Gros Ventre river or a walk around the grounds there are no trails near the campgrounds. Gros Ventre is out of the way making it a nice escape from the busy aspects of Teton NP. Cell service (AT&T) is terrible but may have been better with a booster as we had some signal. There is one fresh water spigot at the front of the campground next to the dump. We arrived with full fresh water tanks and would do the same again. There was/is talk of the dump being bad or old or otherwise not working well. We used the dump and didn't have any issues. We would stay here again!

Camp hosts were friendly and helpful. Grounds were well maintained. Site was fairly level. We were there for the moose and Gros Ventre did not disappoint!!

I lived in Jackson for fifteen years, moving away two years ago. Yet, we’d never visited Gros Ventre campground. We found the campground to be excellent in every regard. Sites were well spaced, and recently located, including level pads. The campground is located near GTNP and Jackson sites.
