Large.campground but well organised. When we visited this campground, there were lots of small flies at night.

Very friendly and down to earth camp hosts. Really appreciated them. Well-maintained, clean bathroom facilities. Our particular tent site, 311 F, is better suited for a smaller tent - our larger tent just barely fit the space available. But had a great experience overall.

This campground is north of Jackson Hole and very close to the Grand Tetons (only a few miles from first pull-off for photo-taking). Good placement of sites (we didn't feel like we were on top of other campers). New picnic table. We were there in early May (7-10). Saw two elk come through our site on day 2. Great hosts -- very nice and checked on us a few times.

Gros Ventre is GTNP's largest campground and has the structure, organization and volunteers needed to make it function well. A few days before we arrived, while trying to modify a reservation, I inadvertently cancelled it but didn't discover it until we had arrived. They sorted through the problem efficiently and were able to find a site we could use. We were very grateful!!

We have been traveling around the country for 14 months now and this is the worst experience weve had for the following reasons:1. We were in a section that was mostly occupied by RVs, but we could not run our generator anytime. We have never been at a campground with this rule. 2. You have to make a reservation to dump. This is a first for us too. The only reason we paid $55 for one night was to dump. 2. There are no showers. For $55, we should be able to shower.3. There are flush toilets, but the water pressure is so low that you have to flush several times.4. There are no views of the mountains. We boondocked on US Forest Land with amazing views.

Love this campground, have stayed here many times over the years and have had a great experience every time! Clean bathroom near the site, beautiful woods, our site was spaced a good distance away from others, staff was friendly and helpful. Gros Ventre campground is a good option if you plan to divide your time between GTNP and the town of Jackson, as it feels centrally located.

Nice spot to begin our visit to GTNP. No generators which we use sparingly anyway but quiet and spread out sites.

This campground has a great layout, especially given its large size. The sites are spacious, and you don't feel like you're right next to your neighbors. The restrooms were clean and the camp hosts were friendly.

Quieter than I expected for a full campground - kudos to fellow campers. Restrooms were always clean. I appreciate the staff providing perfect weather and a visit from a moose cow and calf, not to mention two or three nightly coyote serenades. I have to note that it took a number of staff interviews before I got a good sense of why there were no bison in the Antelope Flat area, but perseverance paid off. All things considered, it was a fine stay. And I say that from the perspective of having camped about once a year in Gros Ventre campground since 1973...

We had a great experience, place is clean and hosts are very helpful. Our spot was on the small size but enough for our micro minnie. Great time and we even saw a moose eating a few feet from our campsite.10 minutes drive to the Moose e b trance to Grand Tetons and 20 minutes from Jackson.

Our space was a little tight for our motorhome. But overall we love its proximity to the Teton. There is also the Gros Ventre river you can enjoy and just a short walk away.
