Nice, quiet campground with easy access to everything in the park (so long as you don't mind the drive). Good facilities, friendly staff.

There were a lot of tent sites which was nice to not having an RV running their generator right beside you. But with a lot of sites there wasn't much privacy between each site. Having 2 bull moose walk through the next site one morning was a delight as well as seeing the Big Daddy Bull at the end of the Group sites made our last day a joy.

Nice campground with lots of amenities - dumping station, staff selling firewood, water, and toilets with running water. Sites are pretty close together, but large with trees between.

Site was occupied with a registered camper. I had to seek accommodations elsewhere.

Our group has been staying at Gros Ventre campground almost every year for the past 25 years and have always had a lovely stay. This year, we reserved 5 campsites for our school group. Our group accidentally put a tent on an adjacent unreserved site. Instead of charging us for the site or telling us to vacate, the camp staff took the tent poles while we were away for the day and left the tent canvas lying on the ground. Our group made an honest mistake this year, but the camp staff escalated the situation by essentially stealing material from our campsite. We did not know who had done this until I visited the camp office the next morning. This is unacceptable behavior and we may be finding another campground in future years if this staff behavior continues.
