my family of 4 plus our dog stayed here for 4 nights, to check out jackson and the amazing teton national park. we had been on the road for 2 weeks already visiting many campgrounds, all of them were amazing and had great hosts that greeted us and made our stay comfortable and convenient. not here, the second we got in after 5 hours of driving, we were met by ' garlan' from arkansas. he came over to our rig as we drove in, very rude and unprofessional, telling us to go in and turn around and 'start over'. we were about 10 feet away from where we had to be i guess to check in, very rude and not needed. we had our in-laws behind us and they had other staff check in them in, same same, very rude and short. i can't believe this is accepted at such a beautiful place.

179 D excellent, pretty level spot. Hosts are great. (Not all sites in D loop are level) our site was not close to bathroom but we did not need it. Electric 30 and 50 amp and water. Perfect spot to jump off exploring the area!

Site accommodated our 33 RV with a secondary vehicle parked in front of it. Neighbors visible on East side only. Sagebrush behind us all the way to the river. Short hike to the river. Bathrooms were at the ends of the loop, so we used the bathroom in the RV. Needed to make a reservation for the dump station which went smoothly. Was a quick trip to Jackson from here. No grassy area. Site is filled with beautiful sagebrush w/a clearing for the picnic table, etc.

Gros Ventre was our second stop on a long road trip. The sites were spacious, clean, and made for easy access to Jackson. The camping area is not exactly pretty compared to all of surrounding areas and doesn’t give great views of the Tetons but overall we enjoyed our stay and would probably stay here again based on location.

Such an outstanding experience! We purposely chose this campground, hoping to see moose- it was October, the moose rut. We were not disappointed! Moose were everywhere! The bathrooms were clean. The dumpsite worked well. All in all, a wonderful few days.

Great campsite. Measured posted length. I did use google earth to ensure enough room for truck. New pavement and plenty of room to back in. Thanks NPS! They even rocked in some grass area to give you the one wheel or two off the pavement. Can’t wait to return. Make your reservation early.
