The campground is grown over. The hostess are not friendly. You have to reserve a time just to dump you wast, which doesnt open until 8. We needed to leave early and did. You are boondocking which is made known from beginning but the price is to much to have to sit in sun and sweat. Very disappointed with the view. You do not have Mountain View and have to drive to see them. Will never camp here again. If Im boondocking at least we would like to have a view and nice hostess.

Located conveniently within Grand Teton National Park, Gros Ventre Campground is a mere 5-10-minute drive from some of the most iconic views of the eponymous mountain range, with some campsites themselves offering majestic views of the mountains. Beyond the park itself, Bridger-Teton National Forest and the towns of Jackson and Teton Village are easily accessible by automobile or bike. The best part about the Campground, though, is the friendly and helpful staff. If I am not mistaken, they also offer nightly Ranger talks at the campsite's amphitheatre. Despite my overall 4/5 rating, the staff gets a 6/5.

During our stay, we did have a couple of other campers walk through our campsite en route to the bathrooms, which seemed a bit discourteous. Perhaps that was a casualty of the campsites being arranged rather closely together. I gather that this is more of an unwritten rule than any official policy, but if walking through others' campsites is generally frowned upon, perhaps this could be prominently posted somewhere.

Other than that, we had a great time, and I would recommend Gros Ventre Campground to anyone visiting Grand Teton National Park and/or the surrounding area!

Had a nice time meeting folks in nearby sites and singing songs around the fire. Thanks.

Excellent location. Easy to get in and out. Dump tends to be very busy at checkout time. Road to camp often frequented by moose. Would stay here again!

Length of space is fairly small for a 35' trailer. However, this is the perfect location to get to the Tetons, Mormon Row, Jackson etc... Fresh water is available as you check in as well as a separate dump station. Staff is EXTREMELY helpful!
