We really enjoyed our stay here. Wish we had stayed 3/4 nights. Close to Jackson and Moose. Our site was handicapped and paved, one of the nicest sites weve stayed in. Our Verizon and t mobile both worked well.

nice campground. very professional check in. I screwed up, didn't notice that the electrical sites don't have water hookups.

The Staff checking you in were excellent - very friendly and most helpful! The electric loop D was very well maintained and site were fairly level and paved. The non-electric loop F was not nearly as nice as sites were not very level and the gravel needed a fresh coat as it was somewhat washed out from the winter...

Good location but way too much second hand smoke (due to campfires).

We have made a routine of visiting Gros Ventre in the fall. The colors are wonderful, the scenery always a reward. This year the animals were more scarce than last year, but we saw a few of each of many favorite mammal species. The park was closing down facilities, but it didn't matter. Dornan's and Signal Mountain Lodge kept taking care of everyone still visiting. Of course, the biggest problem is the melting of the glaciers, drastically noticable this year over last, and possibly irreparably. Return visitors have to notice. Jackson Lake has been drained to meet water demands of the Snake River downstream. It is difficult to accept how climate change has impacted our most beautiful parks. We plan to return next October.

Great roomy spot. The spot is 5 stars. Close to the bathroom and the site has electricity but no sewer connection - more on that later. We have stayed here in the Gros Ventre campground for about 2 weeks but did not know we needed a prior reservation soweve been searching and booking reservations around the campground, sometimes having to move the 40 motorhome on a daily basis. The thing is, the campground is usually half full. That is because the reservation system is jacked. At times its difficult to cancel, especially if you use a agency discount pass. Anyway we have assorted spot reservations for the next 5 days but have decided to leave in the morning. Theres two dump stations that always have a line and one (slow) hose for water. The second dump station has the hose. Theres always a line so we decided this afternoon to go fill up and dump since we are leaving early in the morning. The short haired lady that works here is like fire marshal Bill. Today we were dumping and she came up, mind you we have dumped several times in our two weeks that weve been here, and proceeded to tell us that we needed a reservation to dump. Nowhere does it say that in the information online at Recreation.gov for our reservation does say you need a reservation to dump, only to inquire with them at the check-in. Weve been checking in and no one has said anything about it. They have a lot of printed material they give you and its not in there either. Fire marshal Bill has a bad attitude and this is not our first encounter with her. I think shes in the wrong profession. Not sure I would come back but the campground is nice.

Loved the campground. We had one of the few electric sites. Bathrooms were well maintained, employees were helpful and friendly, and we saw moose almost every day on the Gros Ventre River.

This campground is super nice, staff was great. Very convenient location to see the rest of the park or go into Jackson. So much to do and see in the Tetons. Next time we will bring bikes, lots of paved bike trails which are easily accessed from Gros Ventre.
