We stayed for 6 nights. Had 3 different sites but each one was special. We love, love, love this campground. Lots of space around the sites. Always morning visitors .

Clean facilities. Great foliage and the campsites seem private despite there being hundreds of sites. And we saw a moose!

This review is subjective and wont apply to everyone. I feel it applies to many people though. This is a fantastic campground if youre in Loop A thru D and have the means to shower inside and/or have running water/gray water setup its great. They are very nice paved sites and great for most people. To utilize our awnings and other amenities on our camper we require gravel/dirt to stake things in. So they dont work for us. Otherwise the only real thing this campground has going for it is its location. Its the closest campground to the park entrance and all the main attractions while maintaining a close proximity to Jackson for the amenities there. In Loop F where we stayed the massively varying campsite layouts makes it almost impossible to pick a site thats going to work for your needs. There are no showers on site yet they charge the same rates as Colter Bay inside the park which has laundry, showers, restaurants, a beach, gas station and a general store. As a guest of Gros Ventre you can use these amenities but its a 45 min drive which is extremely inconvenient. Our Loop and a few others lack any great views of the Tetons themselves but they claim to be inside the park theyre really not Just because theres a sign on the side of the road that says welcome to the Tetons doesnt mean youre in the park All in all we had a great time. The Tetons are amazing and this is a great campsite to stay in for MOST people. Especially those there for just a night. Just not for us next time.

This is a pretty spot on the Gros Ventre River (not that we saw the river from the campsite, but it was there). It's ensconced in a big grove of Cottonwood trees, which have the ability to provide some shade and privacy--although it was early in the season when we were there and the trees were just leafing out. Campsites are well-spaced, and we felt like we had a lot of privacy. Camphosts were soooo friendly! And helpful! The Campground is relatively near Jackson for a splash of tourism/culture when you need it, but quite a ways from Yellowstone. Downside, it's potentially a looooonnng ways to the bathrooms at 2 am--choose your campsite accordingly.
