It is a beautiful and well maintained campsite, not to mention the amazing campground hosts. We hope to be back next fall!

Beautiful weather so can't complain. Not far from town so that was nice. Site 325, F( Standard Nonelectric ) may be the worst in the entire campground. A dry creek bed runs just past the end of the paved section, so no tents or hammocks here. The picnic table has about 1 foot of space to walk around it, the fire ring feels like it's almost on the road. We were able to put two camp chairs near it but if we'd lit a fire they would have been too close. BUT since we were there for an event in town and not really "camping," the overall rating is still a 5. If you have an RV or self contained trailer and can cook there, you might not even care. We opted to eat in town because getting our gear to the picnic table with no room to move around made it too much of a hassle.

Had a nice stay in Gros Ventre Campground, the camp hosts were very helpful and welcoming. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Our site, 325F was not as good as expected as the picture for the site is not the correct photo for this site. The site had barely any place to pitch a tent being close to the road and having some kind of drainage ditch behind it limiting the space. The neighboring sites were also extremely close to it. I would avoid 325F and the sites on the same side of the road as 325F if you are tent camping or have a big RV, they are best for a camper van that will fit in the short driveway. The information online when making the reservation does not seem that accurate. The better sites with more room were across the road.

From my site, I could see the Tetons in the distance. Along the highway there's a paved trail for joggers and bikers, and it leads to a nice visitor center on the opposite side of the road. It was so windy though! Very pleasant, awe-inspiring experience, though I got lucky with the reservations since everywhere was booked. I could only stay two nights because someone else was going to be arriving the third. It is bear country, so just be sure to make use of those bear lockers. Put ALL your food in there, as bears don't display any proper etiquette when it comes to eating your food. They can open doors/tear them off too.
