We were just here overnight because we come into town for a concert at Snow King. The campsite was supposed to be big enough for a 23 foot trailer that means our tongue was like right on the edge of the road. The campsites are spaced reasonably far enough apart. If we were going to be staying there in any length of time, we probably would have ran into town and gotten a wasp trap. I dont know about the rest of the campground, but they were thick at that campsite. Hook up at all the campsites is 30 amp or 110 which for us is fine. The bathroom was clean.

Well basically youre going to be in close quarters to your fellow campers. Some of the spaces are very small. The folks working there were great. Easy check in. Nearby Atherton Lake 10 minutes away was a better place to camp, with a view. Just depends on what youre expecting for a camping experience.

Great campground if you love to see under the trees and listen to birds sings. We also saw a moose with her baby. It is also a close drive to Jackson.

Nice, quite, and peaceful area. Moose viewing down the road was a real treat. Bear visitation at 3 am was interesting to say the least. Jackson is a neat town but it obviously has become a bustling area and has lost it's small town feel. Can't wait to get back.

This campground is outside the Tetons. It does not have showers and if you need to dump your RV - be sure to get a number (they only allow a certain number a day). In our opinion, the price far exceeds what you get in terms of access to the park, showers, easy access to water/dumping and size of lots.

Nice campground, we had electric but no water hook up and the only place to fill up is by the dump station. When we got there at 2pm there was a long line of campers using the dump station and filling tanks. Would have given a higher rating as this was a nice place with clean bathroom but they do not open the dump station till 8am so if you want to get an early start you cannot dump your tanks on the way out.

The campground is very nice, but has issues.
- the assigned site was angled opposite from road flow causing great difficulty to park the trailer.
- the site across the road was too small for the lady assigned that site to park her truck.
- no showers, but the staff was very helpful at finding some.
- facilities needed to be updated to handle the capacity

The staff was so very nice.

The camp hosts who greeted us were friendly and helpful. They arranged a reservation for us to dump and made sure we were aware of bear safety procedures. They also took the time to point out the path to the Gros Ventre river so my son could go fishing. The spots are generously sized and feel private due to the mature trees. The roads are wide which was great for our 24' RV and also made us feel safe to ride our bikes around the loops and between the loops. We had a beautiful view of Grand Teton and were able to see moose. Although this campground is far from the popular spots in the park, it is close to the town of Jackson, Jackson Hole Resort and Teton Village.

This recreation.gov site was very proactive and contacted us via email several times as we traveled through 3 states to get to our campground. in doing so, we felt reassured that all would be well when we arrived...and it was! The campground hosts were very confident, cheerful, and informative. Even better, they told us where we might see moose, and they were correct! Our one-night stay at Gros Ventre campground was one of the two best nights of our trip and we hope to travel that way again and stay longer next time!

The stay was excellent except for the site. We were in Site D-181 and it was very tight to get in with a trailer. Our travel trailer is 25ft hitch to back and the only way to get in was to have our neighbor in front move his truck and back in at almost 90 degrees. Once we got in, there was no issue but had to park off the street (which was not a big issue). There are other sites that are easier to get in. The reason for the difficulty is the site is not angled correctly and the D-loop street is not wide. Otherwise we will stay there again but a different site.

On the plus note, we saw moose (a family), badger, and fox. Great location for visiting Grand Teton's. T-Mobile coverage is spotty but my StraightTalk hotspot on Verizon network did get a good signal and was usable.
