Gros Ventre is a large campground in a very convenient area in Grand Teton National Park. It is @ 15 minutes from the town of Jackson, Wy. We really enjoyed our stay - since it is near the Gros Ventre River, there is a possibility of seeing moose and other wildlife in the campground and nearby. The sites can be somewhat cramped, and restrooms can be far away, so choose carefully and according to your needs. The campground staff is very helpful!

$50 a night for site 220 was a joke. Gravel driveway instead of paved like other sites at same cost. Picnic table that was in poor shape, paint chipping off, and dirty. Bits of trash all over site. Bathrooms so far away, makes me wander where everyone in this area was urinating. No staff making sure sites were ready for new guests. Just put tags on and left. All staff were at the check in area. Why? This campground is very poorly run. I will never return or recommend.

We really enjoyed this campground. We were in a non-electric site last half of May. Our site was level and spacious. Staff were friendly and very helpful on check-in. Bathrooms have flushing toilets and sinks with real mirrors and were clean and well maintained. There was also an outlet in the bathroom, as well - I didnt need it, but nice to know I could charge my phone if needed. We had a couple of young moose visiting the campground on our 2nd day and that was quite enjoyable!

Great camp site. Would recommend upgrading RV dump station to two side by side lines both with water. The current arrangement holds people up for an hour.
