The Gros Ventre campground is very pleasant, with both adequate tree cover and open space for viewing. The generator free loops are such a great idea! I wish I had known about that when I was making the reservation! All campgrounds should offer this, especially with the wide availability of solar options.Updating the bathrooms to provide dish cleaning would be a great help. All of Yellowstone has converted the gray/black water sinks, why not here?

It was pretty much as I expected. On the primitive side, but that isn't unusual for National Park campgrounds. The restrooms could definitely use some updating. Having the moose come through the campground was definitely a perk.

A great location for a Great National Park.

Location and scenery was awesome! Staff was friendly. No showers, but you can drive 30 minutes and pay $5.00 if you are tent camping.

Some sites have power but majority don't.....1 dump was not working so you had to wait a long time to dumponly could dump 1 time per reservation which doesn't make sense if your staying more than 1 night

We've stayed at Gros Ventre 4 or 5 times, going there specifically in September because of the many moose that frequent the campground and the beautiful fall colors in the area. It's a nice campground with paved loops, clean flush toilets and space between campsites. Bears have been seen in the campground but not often.

Staff were very nice. Spaces weren't the sizes they said they were. Many were smaller. There was larger one. Just very few and hard to find. Camp ground clean and staff great.

Grand Teton is a gorgeous place, and I was very glad to be able to reserve a camping spot at Gros Ventre. It provided everything we needed and was decently quiet at night. The campsite and bathrooms were clean and functional. A moose came by. I was frustrated by the booking process, which made it difficult to book the same campsite two days in a row on the dates I wanted it. I heard from staff they are overwhelmed trying to keep everything together this summer with the massive numbers of people, and there were some missteps by NPS in releasing campsites for booking in limited batches that meant a lot of people had to move between sites, like we did. I spent a whole morning waiting for someone to move out so I could shift my tent to the second night's spot, when I would have preferred to be hiking. Hopefully these glitches will be figured out by the 2022 season.
