Gros Ventre campground is a favorite destination for us - this was our first fall visit (week prior to the campground shutting down). It was wonderful as usual, however, this time many of the sites around us were vacant adding to the experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, campground well maintained, and scenery spectacular. There was a large fire that started from lightning in the mountains outside the park causing visibility issues and this event was mitigated by a south/southwest wind which cleared the park and surrounding area revealing the incredible Tetons. A great destination!

This was a beautiful and peaceful campground.

Great welcoming intake at campground, rest room clean and heated. I believe my family camped here in 1972 before driving north to Grand Teton and Yellowstone NP and it all seems the same. Great location for a unique outdoor wildlife experience, highly recommend.

We love staying at Gros Ventre Campground. The only thing that would make it more perfect is to have electric hook-ups. But it is a wonderful experience and we enjoying coming back often.

Just a 10 minute drive to Jackson Hole. It's fairly open, mostly short plants (sage?), and lots of RV's. It's a campground.
