Very enjoyable camping experience.

Gros Ventre is the largest campground in Grand Teton National Park but it doesn't seem like it. The loops are spread out and there's adequate room between individual campsites.

The campground is close to the town of Jackson and to many sites within the park, including Jenny Lake, the chapel of the Transfiguration, Oxbow Bend and Mormon Row. One of the cabins used to film the Alan Ladd movie Shane is located northeast of the town of Kelly.

The camp hosts are wonderful. Warm and full of stories. The bathrooms are old but kept clean. The Gros Ventre River runs within walking distance on the south side of the campground. You may see moose coming through.

This site fits a camper of up to 31 feet.

Gros Ventre campground was an excellent central location for reaching all parts of Grand Teton National Park and the town of Jackson. We spent two nights in the D group site and one night at the B94 individual site. The camp hosts were friendly, the sites were clean and even with hundreds of people camping at the same location, it was relatively quiet. The scenery was fantastic.

Overall experience was great, well taken care, lots of moose sightings along the river but would recommend not staying in the loops that allow generators unless you like running your generator (or listening to generators) from 8am to 10pm. That said we will be back but staying in a non-generator loop.

The camp hosts are terrific and the bathrooms are kept clean. The campground is generally quite after 10:30 PM. Cottonwood dander can be invasive and annoying depending on where your camp space is located. The dump station gets a little crowded and backed-up RV’s can create a minor roadblock during peak hours.

This is a great campground. The facilities and the site itself were excellent. The space was perfect for our truck and RTT setup. The best part about the campground is the views along the Gros Ventre River. Tons of wildlife along the river
