Beautiful campground, very well maintained. The bathroom was also way cleaner than I expected, camp hosts were so nice and very informative

We enjoyed this campground very much! Its a very big campground and the spots are well spaced from each other. Camp hosts were pleasant; however, we had one odd experience with an employee who chased us down to make sure we dont drive the wrong way on a one way road, and then accused us of having driven the wrong way the previous night, which wasnt possible due to us having just arrived that day.

Great place amongst the cottonwoods. Accommodating and friendly staff.

The camp host at check-in was first rate. He was friendly and provided lots of helpful information besides being efficient and getting us to our campsite right away. I always like Gros Ventre because it is close to Jackson, yet out of the way, and we can usually get a site there easier than other Teton Campgrounds. The camping areas are flat and the camp roads are recently paved. Water at the bathroom was broken with no idea when it might be fixed.

We have camped at Gros Ventre 3 times. It is convenient to all areas of GTNP. Moose are often seen along rivers in this area. The campground has been improved over the years with the latest improvement being paving the entire campground. This makes parking a much easier task because all sites are nearly level in all directions. Campsites are sometimes short and some spaces are narrow. Parking an extra vehicle such as a tow vehicle for a trailer or a towed vehicle with an RV can be a problem.

We had an amazing stay despite inclement weather two of the three days we had. We liked being close to Mormon Row and relatively close to the Jenny Lake area where we had tremendous views of the Tetons. The campground is very large and the views vary in different areas. Facilities were very well maintained the the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
