Clean campground. Friendly staff. Any chance you could make the parking pads 5 feet longer so all of us can park much easier? Thanks.

Hidden gem. Quiet, scenic amazing spot. The biggest issue is getting to it if you're pulling a camper or driving an RV. The camground is near the peak of the mountain pass on the west side and then once you get off of the road you have a mile or 2 of gravel which isn't too bad. There is a potable water hookup near the bathrooms. No dump station, no power. 5 out of 5 stars.

We stayed 4 nights the second week of July in 114B which is generator friendly.

Pros:
-Clean bathrooms right across the way with flushing toilets
-Friendly camp hosts & easy check in
-Great location in proximity to GTNP & Jackson
-Dump station on location
-Amphitheater with nightly park ranger talks
-Lots of wildlife nearby

Cons:
-Picnic table didn’t have shade
-Fire pit is set up strangely, no privacy
-Mosquitoes are bad this year
-No showers
-Limited spots with hookups
-Water stopped working in the bathrooms the morning we were leaving

We only live 90 mins away so we go to Jackson Hole frequently but this was the first time we’ve camped there. Overall I’d stay at Gros Ventre (pronounced “Grow Vaunt”) again since we weren’t at the campsite for much more than sleep, but if I planned to spend a significant amount of time at the campground I might look for one with more trees and privacy. It’s likely there are some better spots further down in the campground but we really needed a spot that allowed a generator.

Wonderful campground inside GTNP. Park hosts/rangers were wonderful and helpful; gave tips on where to see wildlife, etc. Easy check-in/out process. Very clean, well maintained campsites. Sites 114B and 21EC.
