When I made my reservation on my phone no space was found to give me me Sr America the Beautiful discount. To top it off I was running out of time so I bought the site full bore !!!! Rec.gov is a terrible idea that in the end takes sites away from people who would take them. There are ALWAYS empty sites that were reserved but that people do not show up to use.

The campground itself is fine, but with a single night costing almost 65$, prices are completely out of hand.

Loved the ranger talks at the amphitheater. Participated in 3 presentations! Learned things we didnt know. Sad so many campers had dogs, they barked and didnt see moose in the campground as we had years before. Wondered if so many dogs made a difference,

Nice campground with clean restrooms and access to the river for fishing. Not far from the park entrance. Staff was also nice.

Loved being greeted at the gate by the staff. Didn’t even have to get out. They were very helpful and informative. I didn’t do a good job using satellite view to pick out my campsite. My truck blocked the road while unhooking and re-hooking because I picked one that was too short. Caused me to rush my process. Make sure to do your diligence when selecting a site. Some are very small!
