This was our first trip with our camper. Campground was wonderful. At the check-in everyone was so friendly and helpful, and even later if you went to ask a question they were great. We camped here because we wanted to see moose. Could not have been a better choice!!!! Our first morning there, a big bull with a cow and calf were right behind our camper. It was quiet and all campers we met were friendly and it was so nice not to have to drive for an hour to get somewhere to stay. Can't wait to go back!!

The grounds are well maintained. The bathrooms are clean. The spaces are paved and level, which is great! We were able to have a campfire each night we were there…Originally planned for one, but arrived a day earlier than planned. The staff was helpful in getting us set up for the extra night.
While there is not a camp store ice and firewood are available for purchase.

June 3 - 9, 2022 stay. 33' 5th Wheel. Pros: Great central location to explore Jackson and Grand Teton attractions. Quiet. Economical. Rustic/natural environment. Staff were very nice and helpful. Check in/out was quick and easy. Wildlife: mama moose with calf on opposite side of river, snakes snakes, and a few more snakes (probably more of a 'con', but we were told they were not poisonous), and pronghorn nearby. Cons: Spots are small and inconsistent, both in width and length. Spot 187D was too narrow to put our awning out. There was no space to park a vehicle next to your rig, so no space for a rug, chairs, etc. on parking pad. River front wasn't great for fly fishing but there was close access down the road with more open space. No water hook up at campsite (even though you pay for 'water' in your reservation). No showers. Had to sign up at check-in to use the dump station (so if you need to dump upon arrival, call ahead to sign up).Would we stay there again? Probably wouldn't be our first choice, but we would go back. Overall, had a great time exploring the area and had a pleasant stay at Gros Ventre Campground. We saw more wildlife exploring Grand Tetons than Yellowstone.
