We enjoyed our experience at Gros Ventre campground. We have made this campground our exclusive campground for about the last ten years.

We love this campground and honestly wish it were back to being first come first serve. If you want a site you need to reserve as early as possible.(months in advance). It's a great place to stay to see the Tetons. However, some of the sites are very hard to back into if you have a trailer (even the long sites) because they are on tight curves or there just isn't much room. Our trailer is only 27 feet and we had trouble backing it into our site. The electric sites are great but in some the asphalt pad is very narrow. We had difficulty with the stair to the trailer coming down so it would be on the pad... even with the trailer moved over as far as possible to one side and still be on the pad.

We stayed in site 193D with a 35 foot 5th wheel. The sight was just long enough for our RV and we barely had room to put our steps down. Great location close to river and we saw moose 3 days just outside the campground.

It was convenient to Jackson and the Tetons. The road to the campground from the main road was a great place to see moose. We had an electric hook up site. The parking pad was fine but barely big enough for our fifth wheel. The site itself was one of, if not, the worst we have ever had. We had to wait 20 to 30 minutes at the dump station before leaving. More positives than negatives but this place was just different and I'm not sure that we would stay here again.

This was our first visit to the Gros Ventre campground and for our purposes it was perfect. The check in was painless and the workers were very helpful and answered all our questions. The campground's location was central to what we had planned and where we wanted to visit. The campground, for its size, afforded sufficient spacing between sites and privacy. Overall, we would definitely come back to and stay.

Nice sites, ours had electricity with water nearby. Lots of elk and moose within a 10 minute drive. I would certainly go back.

We had a nice site near the restrooms with an asphalt pad and room for our tow car. We were centrally located between Moose Junction and Jackson for convenience to shopping and hiking. The trees were not in bloom yet, but the campground was still beautiful and we had several moose sightings during our stay.
