The Campground is well organised and the only thing that we missed was electricity on our campsite.

Most frustrating part about this campground is the lack of enforcement of parking rules. It specifically says that you must park (RV and vehicle) on designated parking pad when making reservations. It is the only “regulation” that is in bold print font when you check in at the campground. Despite this so many people were parked off the pavement and on the landscaping. Some people didn’t even attempt to put their RV on the designated parking pad. If I knew this actually wasn’t a rule I could’ve had a lot more camping sites to choose from including more days. It makes it seem that enforcement of any of the other rules as arbitrary.

We stayed one night in campsite 7 and another in 299. 7 was much better for the location and the space to place the tent. Gros Ventre is very convenient to get to the airport, Jackson and the park.

Amazing views of the Tetons. Short drive to everything this amazing park has to offer.
Wolverines mother and babies in den!!
Attempting to visit the museum on the right with all the beautiful life size sculptures heading to Jackson from Gros Ventre campground. I stumbled upon this mother and baby scampering into there den. After you turn into the long driveway and head up the hill and come around a turn out your right passenger window you will see boulders placed by the contractor on the left side of the museum portico I believe. She has her den. My first …….
At Gros Ventre I also saw what I think was a white and Grey harrier hawk circling around hunting ground squirrels. Another first….. I’m not 100% sure it was a harrier hawk but whatever it was I have never seen one before. Beautiful whatever it is…. On the negative side I wish Gros Ventre had full hookups and showers.
