We unfortunatly had a medical situation while staying at Gros Ventre campground and the staff members were amazing. They helped me unload our camper and provided everything I needed help with while my husband was hospitalized with an emergency surgery. They were all very accommodating and true professionals, Jon, Ron, both of their wifes, and the manager. A true 100% great team. Thank you all again for all the help you provided during our stay in August 2022

Off grid, but beautiful treed sites with lots of room. Would definitely recommend. Accommodating staff, friendly. Close to Mormon Row and Jackson Hole. Thanks.

Not overly impressed with campground. The restrooms were never really clean, even though we were there 10 days. The campsites themselves were not "picked up". Our fire ring had trash and old burnt wood in it, aluminum foil and nails. The badgers or rock chucks had dug holes all around the pad, bad enough that I had to fill them in before someone twisted an ankle or worse. The RV dump station is a disaster. You can no longer just go and dump your tanks, but must schedule a time. this is because the tanks overflowed last fall, and NPS is not fixing them. For the cost of the sites, and how crowded the campground is, you would think at a minimum there should be 4 dumping spots instead of 2. I have seen RV's backed up down the main road trying to dump tanks. The dumping area itself was a muddy mess. The mud issue could have been easily remedied with a yard of gravel. This used to be a great campground, but mismanagement, has ruined it.

Park staff was very helpful, friendly and very accommodating. The park location was central to all of our destinations. Plan on going back as soon as possible.

Hi Good People: We made a mistake in not getting an electrical site. We had two generators on either side of us for two days and nights. We left a day early because of the noise. In our opinion, there should be NO GENERATORS anywhere in a national park like Grand Tetons. Now obviously if we had known we would be surrounded by generator noise, we would have gotten an electrical site. It was our oversight. But, in our opinion generators have NO PLACE in a national park campground.
Now the rest rooms were spotless and the camp hosts were very friendly and helped us change our campsite when we got to it and realized our car and 16' trailer would not fit. They were very helpful, even cancelling our last night on their computer and we got a refund. Thank you hosts.
So, even though we rated 'poor' for our experience the condition of the campgrounds and staff were great. Just use your political influence and ban those generators in national parks. We will all be able to enjoy the silence of the national parks. Thanks. Joe Walicki, Beaverton, Oregon.
