Campsites are expensive and right on top of eachother

While the campsite I had was very close to the road and had relatively little space, it was overall well maintained. The bear box was very clean and so was the table and the benches. Overall, a pleasant experience.

The campground is located a short walk from a pretty riverbed with nice shade trees and is far from the main road. Thats where the pros ends. We stayed in a tent only loop and unfortunately the campground could use some attention. The bathrooms were the worst (unclean) of all the campgrounds we stayed at in the Yellowstone/Tetons. Many broken or poorly maintained items, such as a water spigot shooting a water stream straight horizontal. Good luck filling your bucket. Also, the campsites had odd placements for tents. Our tent open space was right next to our neighbors parked car and picnic table, while theirs was far away in a mud patch. Many of the campsites tent placement were awkward including some in a rocky seasonal creek bed. The camping experience could be improved by making new tent clearings in common sense locations and planting trees to better delineate between campsites.

We appreciated the easy check-in and the friendly welcome from the staff there. The site we were in was a tent site that was the only one that was super close to its neighbor, which was a bit disappointing, but all the others were a good distance apart for some privacy. Bathrooms were clean and cared for. The campground is off the main road enough that there was not much traffic noise at all! Great paths to the river gave us such joy...watching the wildlife and cooling off. We loved how close we were to Grand Teton Park but far enough away to not feel overcrowded. We enjoyed our stat at Gros Ventre!

Very friendly staff, and the campsite was nice. We arrived a bit late, but setup was easy, bear boxes were clean, and we had a great time!

Mid September made exceptional by several moose visiting the camp site each day.
Very exciting

We spent 4 fantastic days and nights at the campground in spots 358 & 359, and even though the campground was full we still had plenty of room for our vehicles and tents. The area was very clean, most all campers were quiet and respectful of others (a few with children running amuck were annoying, lol). The river is a nice easy walk and was very pretty. The campground is only a few minutes away from Jackson and is located away from the main road so it's very peaceful. I'll stay here again anytime!
