If you want a campsite near good moose spotting this is your campground. We loved being among the aspens in the fall!

Overall it is a stunning place to be with a good chance of seeing moose. We have come here to camp many times. Unfortunately, this time around was a bit rough. Everything is by reservation only now and there are not any first come, first serve sites. This means that you might only be able to book one night at each site. So every morning we had to move our stuff to a new site. We were not the only ones- around 8am everyone is dragging tents or loading them on the backs of trucks to switch sites. The worst part is that some nights, the people in the site we wanted to stay in, didnt even show up so we moved our stuff for no reason. We asked the hosts if they could possibly let us leave our stuff until someone does show up and you can tell they are asked this a lot because they were so annoyed with the question. We did not have a good interaction with any of the campground hosts. They all seemed burnt out and exhausted dealing with tourists. The bathrooms were also in a bit of rough shape. There was a pipe leaking and flooding the bathroom, hair in the sinks and clearly just too many bathrooms without enough staff. I run my own campground and clean it myself every day so I know how exhausting it is. But, if you are paying $60/night for a camp site, the bathrooms should be somewhat decent. Our biggest issue however, is the brush is so overgrown in the tent sites that there isnt a place to put a tent besides on the pavement. We come to camp to get out in the open and away from pavement. Instead, we were essentially camping in a tent on a parking lot. Every site is booked every night. This roughly generates $18,000+ every night. With this income, you would think a bit more maintenance could be done without disrupting wildlife or vegetation too much. Overall, a beautiful place though.

This place was great for 4 of July weekend. My wife and I had a great time here friendly people and close to Jackson

Love this campground, but both Signal Mountain and this one... $50 a night for TENT CAMPING. Too expensive.
