The campground was fairly nice, but the host at the front was troublesome. She kept stopping by everyones camp and making up ridiculous rules. One day she decided that hammocks are not allowed, even though that is not a rule at all. Another time she was obsessed that the grass stayed nice, but no this wasnt nice grass or long wild grass, it was gross dandelions that were growing out of rock beds.

Seven miles just outside Telluride CO. Making it a great location for food and walking the downtown area. Close to multiple Hiking trail heads. The campground was quiet, campers well nicely spaced, and the view was outstanding.

What a beautiful campground in a stunning part of Colorado. Its location is handy for a trip into Telluride for live music, dining and groceries, and a drive/hike to Bridal Veil Falls, or down to Trout Lake to kayak, or to explore Ophir Pass and the many breathtaking hikes nearby. Even close enough for a day trip down to Hovenweep Natrional Monument taking into the Senic byway. While the flies were a bit outrageous this year due to much moisture, the campground is well cared for.

site 20 is up a slope and isn't super wide so we weren't very comfortable in that spot with a 28 ft trailer. camp ground is pretty but chlorinator was broken so no water in the entire site during our visit which was a bummer.

We were hoping to camp (somewhat) close to Telluride, this was a great spot. 20 minutes from downtown and 10 minutes from mountain village. We were able to reserve a campsite for one night (spot 21, it's awesome - set up a little higher on the outside of the loop, backing up to the mountain behind) and then got a first-come-first-serve spot (spot 8 - such a beautiful, tucked away site next to the river, although you can hear the busy road) the next few nights. Camp Host was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
