Fantastic family campground!

A hidden gem! Pretty crowded campground, but the views made up for it. Pull through site was heavily wooded and felt private. Plenty of water spigots on each loop. Bathroom on our loop was somewhat updated, but low flow flush toilets took multiple attempts, and the electric hand dryer? Meh.

Anywhere you turn you will be met with gorgeous views. The campground is in a great location and beach access was a nice treat. If you are in a tent, I would recommend not having a site next to the bathroom facilities as the light is incredibly bright.

After the intense frustration factor with the reservation system, the actual stay was wonderful: great campsite, clean bathrooms, clean campgrounds. However, there was another frustration of seeing numerous empty campsites during our three days there. The reservation system is unacceptable and does not optimize peoples ability to get a campsite!!!

I probably have the same complaint as everyone else. The Recreation.gov reservation system is a disaster. At our campground, as with most campgrounds, about a quarter to a third of the sites are no-shows. There is no penalty for no-shows. Plus, there is no mechanism for a cutoff time for occupying a campsite and let others rent the unclaimed site. At Two Medicine campground, there is no cell coverage so there is no way to book or cancel a campsite without driving out to St. Mary. We have avoided national parks since they adopted the Recreation.gov reservation system and our visit confirms that we will avoid national parks until things improve. By the way, I am an ex-park ranger and one of my previous duties was managing a Park Service campground. It worked much better in the old days.
