The water was difficult to get as half of the fixtures were broken. But I understand this will be fixed this fall. We love the beauty and wildlife here

WE have been coming to MGC for many years and LOVE It. It has become so popular that reservations are a nightmare. I had to move my campsite 3 time so complete my stay as I could not get a reservation for the entire stay in one site. What was so frustrating was that in at least one move nobody ever showed up to take the campsite I moved from. Those with the fastest internet must get the best opotions and the rec.gov website can't seem to handle the massive demand that occurs on the first day reservations open.I have thought a lot about how this goes and think the res.gov people need to implement a system where there is a severe financial penalty for those who reserve a campsite and then don't show.Lastly this year the fresh water was a mess. Only about 1/4th of the fresh water faucets were operational and when the campground host or rangers were asked why they had no information. However I am hopeful that the renovations being done this Sept 2024 will fix the fresh water issue. It has hever been an issue in the past. All the other service were excecptional. Restrooms kept clean everyday. Hosts all friendly and helpful. Ranger courteous and very visible.

I'm writing this review regarding the management at Glacier National Park, the 22nd national park I enjoyed visiting. Despite its northern location, it's one of the busier parks I've been to, with many regular visitors using it as a north retreat to the Rocky Mountains.Regrettably, I found the park's management less impressive than other national parks. It seems as if a basic level of service was the norm. Here are some examples from our visit:- Campground management: The upkeep of the trees and branches was subpar, making it challenging even for a van to fit into most camping spots without risking scratches on the body or roof. - Road conditions: The National Park has done commendable work maintaining the Sun Road, but this seems to be focused on the top of Mountain Road. However, a stretch of over 9 miles by Lake Macdonald is a gravel road riddled with large holes. This flat and straight road is quite unusual.- Access road to Many Glacier Campground: While the road leading to this campground is well-maintained and beautiful, there's a 5-mile rough gravel road right in the middle, this part sadly detracts from the overall experience.
