Campground is beyond gorgeous. Keep in mind that areas tents are very small at some sites.Great access to wonderful trails. We saw deer, ears, and moose.

The Campground itself is beautiful. Centrally located for hiking and sightseeing. Actually saw a bull moose on one of the trails. The reason this place gets two stars is for the ridiculous reservation system, especially for so late in the year. The single greatest issue that prevents us from visiting the NP's more is the reservation system and the fact that so many people make reservations then don't bother to cancel their reservation so, on paper, this and other campgrounds will be "full" but in actuality are , maybe, 50% full. Such was the case with Many Glaciers in very late September. Were it not for the awesome rangers we would have had to go boondock or go all the way back to St.Mary. The 6 month rolling reservations window might be one of the dumbest things going in the NP's. So much life happens in six months that is it's little wonder someone who makes a reservation in February might- just might- have something that pops up that prevents them from traveling in August, or, in our case, someone who books in March might have something come up before September and they just don't think about, or care about canceling their reservation so someone else who is actually there at the Campground in the flesh can use the site. The other ridiculous thing about the end of season reservations is the inability to make a same day reservation. I mean, what!, why? That is just plain nonsensical. So, this Campground was 50% empty on a Monday because of the unoccupied but reserved campsites, but I couldn't book on a Monday, even though I was there in person, and would have had to go find somewhere else to go for the night before returning the next day for my reservation? Again, had it not been for the awesome Rangers fitting us into a long past their reservation window site, this would have happened to us. This system needs to be changed, NPS. Shorten the window to 8 weeks, & charge a place holder fee. $20 to book, the rest is charged on arrival. Makes total sense. Do better!

Beautiful park. Campsites book up fast, but many remain vacant due to people not showing up.

Lucky to snag a spot here! I dont think this campground has any bad sites except maybe the ones you can reserve four days before (would still absolutely stay in one of those, this campground is awesome). We used the Swiftcurrent showers (tokens are $4). Nells (also at Swiftcurrent) was a great little restaurant. Best hiking in Glacier!

No fault of yours. Too hot. Smokey. No campfires. Never coming back in August again. JUNE! Please bring back "First come - First served" camp sights. New bathrooms are great.
The most beautiful campground in the park with access to some of the best trails in the park. Super friendly camp hosts too!

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
