Had trip planned to Many Glacier Campground since last December - it is SO hard to book now on rec.gov - seems harder than trying to get concert tickets. Drove 10 hours to get to campsite, which was absolutely beautiful, tent camping and only have one bear locker for 2 or 3 campsites made it harder to store items, which was the downfall of the campground. Just 24 hours later had to leave campsite with NO where to go since another camper left out food and threw some in fire ring where a grizzly had a morning snack. We where told we had to take down tent and sleep in car if we wanted to stay. If there was ample storage or food and coolers we could have made it work, but old bear locker sizes are too small for anything more than 2 medium sized bins, so we left. Fortunately, Rising Sun Campground in Glacier National Park is still first come first serve and we were lucky, along with some others from the campground to get in that night. My hope is that they will leave this campground first come first serve beyond 2023. And kudos to the campground host for being on top of things at Rising Sun, if Many Glacier was able to staff host 24/7 maybe things would have been different. Again, this campground is beautiful, but just know that at any moment, if you are tent or soft side camping and help out the host if you see neighbors not following bear rules, or you may be leaving as soon as you get there.

How to describe the many ways in which we loved this campground? Our site was right next to the river (great to cool off in after a day of hiking), and we had beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. By far the most wonderful thing about this campground is its location in the Many Glacier Valley, which allowed us access to stunning scenery, fantastic hikes, and once-in-a-lifetime wildlife viewing. The evening programs were fantastic (we attended a Native America Speaks program, and a bear talk) - we made lifelong memories here with our son!

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
