Wonderful stay here at Many Glacier campground. I really like our campsite 058 as it was close to everything we needed -- fresh water spigot, trash receptacle, and bathrooms -- but also didn't feel like we were too close to other campers. We stayed September 10th to the 13th. For us it was perfect timing: a little less busy, campground still had access to flush toilets, weather generally wasn't too hot, and we didn't have to pay extra for the Going to the Sun Road. However, some things were in the process of shutting down or had already shut down at this time, so if hitting up the local coffee places and restaurants is important to you, you may want to go earlier. What we were more concerned about was the lack of firewood anywhere in the area, as a campfire is kind of a staple for me when camping! No one in Many Glacier had firewood, but fortunately, we drove to another campground that had a few bundles left. With it being the end of peak season, no one was really supplying firewood anymore. We got lucky. One other thing to keep in mind is that the temperature could drop pretty low and pretty quickly once the sun disappeared behind the mountains. The highs were in the mid to high 70s during the day but dropped into low 40s at least one of our nights there, so bring warm clothes and good sleeping bags if doing this outside of the peak summer months. This campground is close to some great hikes. It was a short walk from our campsite to the Grinnell Glacier trail, which is great because the lot was completely filled, and cars were parked on the side of the road for quite a ways. This is a beautiful trail. For trails that are on the Going to the Sun Road, you'll have to do a little driving. Took us about an hour to get to Logan's Pass from our site.Overall, we loved our stay here. Glacier is a beautiful place, and this campground is wonderful. Perfect place for getting away from electronics and unwinding, while still having access to sinks and flush toilets.

Excellent destination with several trailheads at your disposal without having to drive. Plenty of wildlife and scenery that last for a lifetime. Many Glacier never disappoints.

If staying here I recommend doing the Grinnell Glacier Trail (the parking lot fills up around 7am and stays full till the evening) & go to Many Glacier Hotel to watch the sunset on the mountains.

Great campsites with enough room between so you don’t feel cramped! Definitely go to the ranger talks, no matter what age. They have a ton of great, fun info about the park

Campers across from our site bought their camping permit from someone who makes it a business selling camping permits. It’s his way of earning money, camping permits for profit.

Not nice.
How to curtail this? IDK, maybe have rangers check to ensure the person who made reservation is actually present at check-in. Or campers shouldn’t condone this activity by buying from these profiteers?

Camp ground was wonderful. Close to amazing trails. Iceberg lake and cracker lake were great. We saw a lot of wildlife including bears, moose, marmots, mountain goats, and more. Only negative is that showers are not available at this area right now. It makes no sense how not showering for a week is safer for covid than taking a shower every day and being clean.

All sites are pull thru, nice trees at each site and good spacing provides privacy. Swiftcurrent Inn NOT selling showers to campers, we went to Johnson’s in St. Mary’s, $5 for 6 minutes. Your Many Glacier campground reservation does NOT allow you to access GTTS road. This was not clear on the website, we went at 5 pm when ticket no longer required. Have bear spray ready, saw 6 grizzlies, 2 of them very close! Rangers are serious about this and will ask to see your bear spray when on the trails. We were there when campground first opened in early June. All trails not open last couple miles due to snow/high water crossings but worth doing and very beautiful.
