Unfortunately it wasnt the best camping experience here. It was one of the most beautiful places Ive ever camped, with lots of walking trails, access to the Pacific Crest Trail, and many different areas of creek access. However, upon arriving, there was a sign that said no campfires. One of the most exciting things for me when camping is the ability to have a campfire, and make smores, and we had already purchased the firewood. I wish we would have been notified when we made our reservation months prior that we couldnt have a campfire, so we wouldnt have been disappointed upon arrival. Another notable experience was an odd man approaching my campground on my first day there, and saying some questionable things. He was very unkind and it was extremely eerie! I felt on edge for the rest of my time there, fearing that he would come back. The entire campground was very crowded, and not everyone was respectful at night time. Our neighbors were very loud all throughout the night, and they were really close by. Id really do some research beforehand to find a more secluded spot if you can, because ours had a clear view of our neighbors. However, our site did have close access to a creek trail, so if you are interested, check out spot #25.The camp host was very kind, and again, it was a beautiful place. Just a little bit disappointing.

The campsite was great with tons of space and privacy. Im always looking for campsites that are on the river, this one looked like it was on the river, but the river is right across the road down a short trail. Not a problem at all, the campsite was still great.

Nicely spaced sites. Our camp was large with two tent pads. It was clean, as was the outhouse.

Generously sized campsites that are nicely distanced from one another. Easy access to a creek, old style pumps with potable water and complete shade. This makes a great base camp for exploring the Washington side of Columbia River Gorge!

We have camped at Panther Creek since 1974. Have not missed a year. Jeffery and Angela are the best hosts ever. Give them a raise to keep them there.
