Great to camp on the lake. The road in is pretty tough until the last couple miles.

Camping at Walupt Lake is a family tradition and it's unplugged. Good social atmosphere, plenty of time for solitude and prayer as well as family prayer. The beauty of God's creation is easy to experience. We are grateful to God for it all, praise Jesus.

Overall we had an enjoyable time. We came prepared for the water outage that occurred prior to our stay so did not have any issues there. The kids had a great time wading and playing in the lake. The water is so clear and clean!

Several of us hiked to Nannie Peak and then completed the Walupt Lake Loop, taking the Nannie Ridge Trail to the Pacific Crest Trail and then south to the Walupt Lake Trail. It was a beautiful hike, the skies were clear, and the mountains were out in full view! It was well worth the 9-hour, 15 mile hike!

The mosquitoes were ferocious though, so come prepared with lots of bug spray!
