The afternoon that we checked in, Friday, 10/21/22, the lady at the guard shack/check in small building was miserable (older, short, all white hair). We hate to even say anything but she truly was rude - we have not encountered this before at any of the West Point Lake, GA campgrounds. Also, we noticed that when we returned to the park from church Saturday evening, approx. 8:30/9:00 pm, the gates were wide open. We were wondering what time do the security gates close? Also, we know that this might be difficult but would there be any way to please consider keeping campers with dogs in certain sections - we have stepped in dog crap several times and have smelled it by the water many outings which is both gross and unhygienic. Plus the barking...unfair to those who do not have or bring their dogs. The park is beautiful and we truly appreciate all that the staff and volunteers do to keep the restrooms and showers so clean as well as the road clear and safe.

The overall experience was great. The restrooms were not clean at all and were like that the entire time we were there.

We had a great time. The park was very clean and the campsite was great. We loved how much room there was between campsites and the beautiful views of the lake. Lots of shade too. We definitely recommend this campground.

We had site 45 .was a good site but water was way down so fishing wasn't so good . Facilities were clean and attendents helpful.

Nice place its kid friendly they have a playground for the kids. Campsites are not right on top of each other we had plenty of space between us and the other people camping. All the sites was lake front so that was great for the kids to swim or fish. Bathrooms was very clean. We will definitely be going back to visit again soon.

Great experience every time. We love Whitetail. The only negative is the reservation process. I hate it that you cant decide on a Tuesday gee I want to go camping this weekend. And when you do camp you see so many empty sites but the website says its full.
