This is a lovely campground. It felt like we had our very own little piece of the lake. My kids had a blast in the water we rented kayaks from David at Lake Hartwell Kayak rental they delivered and picked them up! If you enjoy the lake this is your campground!

We really enjoyed our first camping trip at Watsadler Campground on Lake Hartwell April 5-8. We had site 25, a great site with easy access to the lake for our kayaks & for fishing. It was a nice corner site, with plenty of trees & space on one side and site 24 driveway behind us, their camper back in their corner. Our site had the picnic table, fire ring, grill on the same level as our camper, unlike some sites that had steps down to their eating/cooking/relaxing area. The shower house was very clean and up-to-date, (had 2 showers & 2 toilets, counter & sink) the bathroom (small building with toilets & sink only) was much smaller, but adequate. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing & bicycling. There is also a trail near site 51 that goes out to a point with a great view of the lake. Most of the sites are on the lake. We were glad to be in 25 since sites 24-51 seem to be in the quieter loop. The other sites, mainly pull through, are close to Hartwell Dam, a great view, but also with Hwy 29 traffic noise. Our site was also an easy walk to the facilities. There's a boat ramp, but no designated beach or swimming area. The campground hosts were very welcoming & friendly. We took the walk across Hartwell Dam, on both the GA & SC sides. Very interesting. The town of Hartwell is close by - Wal-Mart, Home Depot, a few restaurants & great blizzards at Dairy Queen! There are other recreation areas near by for picnics & boating. We enjoyed our stay & will return!
