Campsites were well maintained. No problem setting up camper. People were really friendly and helpful. I would recommend this campground for anyone wanting a nice quiet place to stay.

We were just looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy the view. This place was perfect. Large level sites, waterfront, clean, friendly helpful staff, great place to spend a little time.

The campsite was clean but lacks gravel and had deep ruts and very un level The bathroom was cleaned I witnessed that but after they left the bathroom did not smell cleaned and the shower was untouched The same bar of soap layer on the floor all week and mold was terrible at the base of shower I dont think there serious cleaners or staff

Beautiful park; most sites are waterfront or waterview. Did not use restrooms. Multiple playgrounds.

This campsite offers a nearly 180 views of Lake Hartwell with a direct view of breathtaking sunrises. As a last minute trip, my partner and I went on a 7 mile hike at Paynes Creek which is only a 20 minute drive from Watsadler before arriving at the campground an hour before sunset with just enough time to set up our camper and start dinner with the unmatched backdrop of a pink sunset sky. The campsite offers a large fire pit that could contain a fire of bonfire proportions. The pit comes with a maneuverable grate to cook on. The bath houses also provide really nice accommodations. Despite the volume of campgrounds, you do not feel on top of your neighbors. I highly recommend this campsite for any type of camper.

Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Some camping sections were closed for season. The open camping section had closed the restrooms for the season and the closed section was where the open restrooms was available. This was not convenient.

The winter loop (lowest numbered sites are the only ones open till April, but they are also the ones closest to the highway so the noise can be really loud (the lower the site number, the closer to the highway you are). Why can't USACE open the back loop all winter (where the heated bath house is...) because it's way quieter and so way nicer?

My husband and I visited this campground in March for our anniversary, and the weather happened to be lovely that weekend. We really enjoyed our stay at Watsadler and we will definitely be back. It was a clean campground and the campsites were so nice with beautiful views of lake Hartwell. Our only two complaints were that we were not made aware that there was only one bath house available and it happen to be on the completely opposite end of the campground that we were on so it made the shower or bathroom very inconvenient for us. Also, check out was at 2oclock for us & at 1:15 we were being inconvenienced and rushed out of our campsite by a couple that they let check-in well before check-in time and we didnt appreciate feeling rushed when we had plenty of time to get out of our campsite by 2 oclock.

Even though we live in Hartwell GA, it’s nice to just visit Watsadler for a nice getaway.
