Grass was a little overgrown and felt a little rundown. Water front sites were very pretty. I will say that I got mixed customer service. The camp hosts working check-ins were so friendly and accommodating. They even worked with me switching sites because I found one to be more preferable. Then another couple of people wearing wearing white campground staff shirts were there the rest of my stay. They made me feel like a rule breaker when indeed I had a pass and held it up for them to see as I drove back into the campground. I could clearly see them on their phones and not paying any attention that I was there. I DID STOP to show my pass. Out of impatience for their personal phone time I drove through to my site only to be met by one of those staff members that followed me in to give me a rotten attitude about showing my pass and stopping. To which I did both. I was a camp host for two years. I know the gig can get boring but you guys should pay attention and have better attitudes. Its a beautiful place minus the unkept landscaping. Bathrooms and laundry were great. I had a 4 year old with me and would have loved to see a functioning playground. Also sometimes the dumpsters were overflowing with trash.

Enjoy going to this campground every time I get a chance. Just wish it was open longer I enjoy the fishing up in this area. There is always a friendly staff there.

Should open this park earlier and keep it open longer . This is a popular fishing and water sports area miss out on some of the best fishing times of the year . Gates should be opened earlier in the mornings in case someone was staying there and had to get out to go to work are school 7:00 am not good .

Managers friendly and professional. Very well maintained. We had a beautiful experience. The only difficulty we experienced was attempting to change sites because the managers hands were tied by policy at the top level. They said they could not make the change and it had to be done online or by phone to customer service. However this proved impossible and finally we had to have a ranger do it, by phone at the gate. The "change site" policy has an internal contradiction.

We have camped at this park for many years. It has been a practice to call the morning we are to arrive to see if anyone is on the campsite. We tried for several hours to reach the campsite host but to no avail - there was always a busy signal. When we arrived to Bolding Mill Park, we questioned the host about this. He said their phone had been out of order since March. They had reported this to the Corp of Engineers but to no avail. I find this totally unacceptable that five months after reporting a phone outage that it hasn't been repaired. Also, the grass in the park needed to be cut. Someone would show up, cut a little each day then leave. Not sure why they couldn't cut the entire park while they were there? Overall, it seems the Corp of Engineers don't maintain the park as they once did. The host were very kind and helpful.
