campsite was clean when we arrived. The campground was pretty full due the corp closing other campgrounds. I feel this is a mistake since it will cause increased wear and tear on bolding mill. The views from the lake are great and the area is very quiet. The only thing negative I can comment on is that it appears the grass has not been cut in quite awhile. It was over 2ft tall in some areas. Bathroom was kept clean during our stay. The dumpsters were in a good area and the surrounding area was clear of debris. The county road leading to bolding mill needs to be repaved, there is a large construction housing project just outside the campground and the heavy truck traffic is tearing the road up.

Love this campground. Our third stay so far this year. My only previous complaint was no shower nozzles in bathhouses but those have now been fixed. Polite gate attendants and grounds are well kept. Still gets my five stars.

Campground is wonderful. Very polite staff. Clean and well kept and very quite. My only complaint would be there are no showerheads on the showers, at least the ones in the bathhouse near site #75. The water just sprays out out everywhere.

The ladies bathroom was without toilet paper and one toilet was completely full of feces for DAYS before anything was done about it. I called the park hosts and they said the cleaning person had been let go and the park doesnt get cleaned daily! That is completely unacceptable and a public health issue. Also the grass is only being mowed on the edges. The park looks run down and it is difficult to walk dogs when you only have a small strip of grass to do so. Also the deer ticks have increased due to this causing yet another public health hazard. We have camped here a few times before, the most recent was the end of May and the park looks so much more run down just in that two month span. Please dont let our parks fall apart! Also - the dump stations within the park are out of order. So when the gates are locked at night and you have an emergency- you are in trouble between the back up in your camper and lack of acceptable restroom facilities.

I was extremely surprised by the somewhat negative attitude of the personnel manning the entry gate at Bolding Mill on the day of our arrival. This is so atypical of what you would expect for a federal park.

It would be nice to have the operational hours for the main gate posted when there is supposed to be staff available.
