Old Federal has always been one of our top five campgrounds. We typically visit the park at least once every year. As always, we enjoyed our trip here in 2023. We love the private-feeling campsites and friendly staff there. We especially love the fact that the rules are strictly enforced there, eliminating the usual late-night partiers and massive amounts of vehicles parked all over campsites that we unfortunately experience when staying at State Parks. As far as location, Old Federal is close to many restaurants and activities. If you are a water sport person, it has a nice boat ramp with easy access to Lake Lanier.

Old Federal is my all time favorite campground. We camp two weekends a month and try to visit Old Federal at least twice during the season. We would go more often, if it didn't book up so quickly. I'm disappointed that the grass isn't being cut or maintenance being done on the facilities. Why aren't our fees being used to cover these expenses? Sell Tshirts or other items, if needed to help cover the expenses. It's too nice of a park to be falling into disrepair.

Another excellent trip to Old Federal Campground. I love returning here each year. The grounds are spotless. The camp hosts are the best. Definitely one of the best COE parks in the country.

The water views are excellent at almost all sites. We left one of our kayaks at a nearby beach area along the shoreline between sites with no problem. Others did the same. We also enjoyed watching the Wednesday evening sailboat racing.

The place is good but it is very tough to enter and check out. The representative needs to be more flexible and welcome the guest.

Had an excellent time at Old Federal site #68 May 8-11, 2022. Site 68 has shade in the am and then sun after 11am until sunset. You will need an awning. Sun sets across the water. Site is right on the water but not water accessible because of rocks. Showers and bathrooms were clean. Beach and bath house was within walking distance. Great place for a relaxing stay. Nice and quiet. The usual boats, jetskis and jumping fish. Has water and electric hook ups. I stayed in a tent but backing an RV should be no problem. Driveway is paved with a minor decline. Tent pad was large and level. Water pressure was very good. Campground hosts were terrific!
