This was once a very nice campground but it has really declined over the last few years. The areas surrounding the campsites are poorly maintained with overgrown grass and weeds. Dead and fallen trees are all around the property. Bath houses are becoming dilapidated.

Oh my gosh, I love my Betty Lou at the front desk at Old Federal! She provided the best customer service, and the greatest experience, gave me and my kid a bunch of cool washable tattoos that we had tons of fun with! Talk about a cool campground, has the best views of any campground on the lake! WE LOVE YOUUUUU BETTTYYYYY LOUUUUU!!!!

We were unable to go camping because my husband became very sick. I requested a refund via State of Ga and they sent a request to Old Federal but never even got a response! Very disappointing situation.

I loved the camp hosts, all were super nice and helpful. What I wasn't happy with was that the grass was long, and the bathrooms were not cleaned in the 4 nights I stayed there. My tiny camper doesn't have a bathroom, and I had to use the dirty showers every night at the bathhouse, and wash in funding is an issue, but with a camp host doing housekeeping, it would only cost you the camp site, and not any money. Again, all of the camp hosts were wonderful. I met them when I was there in May, and they remembered me, and welcomed me back. I don't remember the bathrooms being dirty in May, but they sure were during my August stay.

Very friendly host, easy check in. Clean camp site. Bathrooms very clean. We enjoy this campground yearly this year we will enjoy twice three weeks total.

Old Federal is a great campground. Clean and well maintained. Plus the staff rides thru the campground several times a day. This year we have seven trips scheduled.

Our site on the water was beautiful, the sand beach for boats & swimming just 100 ft away. Nice & quite at night. Previous campers left garbage in a tarp in our pit...took 2 days to get it taken away, that was only complaint. Campers clean up after yourselves.
