Grass was knee high in many areas, restrooms in the center of camp were not open, campsites were not cleaned prior to new occupants....wood scattered around campfire area, broom and trash left on gravel pad.

In years past, the above was never the case at a core park on Lake Lanier. It is very sad to see the core increase camping prices but decrease service to these camps.

The park was in the worst shape we have seen in our 20 years of camping there. The grass was 2 foot tall, the shrubs had shoots 6 foot high, and the bathrooms were not cleaned daily. Very disappointing considering record number of campers this year. Praying 2023 is much better!

The staff was rude to the point they could not explain why we had a problem and she told me it was above her paygrade the she was no going to help me and called the park rangers and they have no clue what Recreation.gov does when they rent the sites they are not willing to help but they will kick you out and give you am hr to leave. Great park poor service.

Met wonderful fellow campers, campgrounds were clean and well kept (as usual). Lake at sunrise was spectacular!

I had to go get benadryl for an allergic reaction and when I returned to the park at 10:27 pm the gate had already been locked. I asked the camp host politely to please allow me and my 3 year old daughter through the gate. And was told gates close at 10 30 and then proceeded to slam his door in our face. It was 10:31 at that point. I understand the policy of the park but 10 30 is 1030 not 10 27...camped here twice last year as well and same camp hosts were also very rude and unprofessional then as well. Having mechanical difficulty lowering the roof of our then pop up camper I need about a hour to make the repair to move my camper and was told they would call a tow truck for me and he drove off chuckling.

The park is beautiful. There is more grass than I've ever seen at a Camping Park. There are a lot of sites with lake access. The pictures of each site are not really accurate because there is normally more shade than the picture shows. We stayed for 4 nights and loved it! The attendants, Gail and Joe are awesome...we have made reservations for the end of July. This will be a park we will go to again and again!
