Other than the lake being down a couple feet below normal it was a great stay. Ranger came by and gave the grandkids some coloring books and a frisbee which was very unexpected. The central bathhouse has been totally redone with 4 individual shower rooms in the front, and toilets and sinks in the men's and ladies rooms in the back. It is a great campground for kids to ride bikes and have fun.

We always enjoy camping at Bald Ridge Park campground. The only problem with this stay is an apparent cutback in service at the campground. Bathrooms were normally taken care of every day and the grass was well trimmed but this time they apparently cut back in those areas. Trash was not emptied in the restroom and toilets were running out of toilet paper. On the positive side, the campground host were excellent. They were very friendly and helpful.

The camp hosts this year are so much friendlier than the ones from last year! I'll admit, this was going to be our last trip to Bald Ridge if we had any issues of rudeness from the hosts this year. Great job in finding some good ones!!! Overall, our stay was great and we enjoyed time with friends who through camping have become family.

Beautiful park. Most sites are on the water. Gorgeous views! Peaceful quiet and relaxing. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We visited nearby Dahlonega, a cute mountain town known for its gold mining history. Would most deffinitely return!

Bald Ridge Creek Campground is the best on Lake Lanier. We have been camping all around the lake for years and we always come back to Bald Ridge Creek. It is a great location, many of the sites are lake side, the staff has always been great. There are stores and restaurants within a 10 to 15 minute drive if needed. We highly recommend this campground but be sure to book early because it fills up fast.

There is only one dump station and that can get crowded on Sundays as people are leaving, expect up to a 45 min. wait. as you approach the 1 PM deadline to leave. The gravel pads have fine gravel mixed with mud and sand, and in the rain makes an interesting slush that gets into everything when you track it into your rig or tent. It also puddles up quite a bit depending on the site. We had about 3" of water near the entry door - kinda inconvenient. This is a well run facility and is one of the finest pieces of real estate right on the waters of Lake Lanier. Most sites will give you a view of the water if no right on the waters edge.Gates close at 10:30 and open 7 AM - plan around that.

Great place to camp but they need to reopen some of the other campgrounds to take the pressure off this one. They also need to keep the campground open later into the season. Even Forsyth County keeps its campground open until almost Thanksgiving.
