This campground, while beautiful and well laid out, has some less than “fun” attributes: Many of the campsites have oddly angled access ways, and the power (electric hook-ups) may need updating. We utilized two campsites and the 30 amp outlets were non functional in one site, and “blinky” in the other.

The hosts were great, but the campground staff could have kept up with the shower/bath houses a bit better.

All in all, we recommend this campground and will likely stay there or at another in the system on Lake Allatoona.

This was our first time camping here and we are relatively new to the camping world. We were in town for a couple of weeks for my sons' baseball tournaments and chose to camp instead of hotels. First: the ProsIt's a beautiful campground with lots of shade and plenty of wood to make a campfire every evening. The sites are spacious and the lake front views are gorgeous!! It was wonderful to be able to swim in a cove and skip rocks on the water from our site. (#40) I walked my dog (11lb) multiple times a day and very rarely saw other animals that were out and about. You felt like there was some level of privacy at your site even though we had neighbors going in and out every few days. The front gate staff were super!!! They were able to answer questions throughout our stay and kept an eye on things in the campground. The bath house was in walking distance to our site and seemed to be centrally located in the camp ground. It wasn't very busy at the times we used it, so it was nice to not have to wait on people. The site itself was clear from trash and debris when we arrived late in the evening. Now, the cons:The bath houses need to be updated. This is on the COE. They can only maintain them so much when they are dated. There are NO Laundry facilities on site, even though it's listed on some websites. The washer and dryers have been removed. We struggled to get our RV leveled on our site due to the slope of the site, but with a few blocks and a prayer, it leveled out eventually. We couldn't hear the interstate from our site, but there is a camp across the water that sings morning, noon and night. :-) It's a very busy part of the lake for boating also. Fishing was non existent while we were there. It was a good campground for the money. For the length we stayed full hookups would've made a world of difference, but for a weekend or overnight, it's great!
