My first visit was very nice. The campsite was clean and water and electric worked fine. I was pleased to see two dump stations. However, they are so close together that only two short units could use them at the same time. Also, the water hose at one was cut off and didn't even reach the ground. The hose at the other station had a 90 degree fitting on the end making both useless for flushing the black tank. The need to be much longer and have a normal threaded garden hose fitting to enable them to be connected to flush the RV black tank. This is the fourth COE campground I have visited and the dump stations at all are very difficult, if not impossible, to access on the way in. The gate attendant said she would report my findings. The staff at all the campgrounds have been friendly and helpful.

If this park would offer full hook up sites (sewer) it would definitely be EXCELLENT. We enjoy coming for a relaxing stay- but at 70 years old, sometimes the treks several times a day to the restroom facilities is cumbersome. We use our RV facilities, including doing dishes etc very sparingly in order to avoid disconnecting to dump before the end of our departure. Otherwise- wonderful park- very clean, very friendly, very well run.

We always try to stay at McKinney on the way to visit our son in Kentucky. It's a beautiful wooded campground set on a gorgeous lake. It's typical of other Corps of Engineer campgrounds in that the sites are spacious and separated from other sites by lots of vegetation and trees. There's nothing negative to say about it, except that the 4:00 check-in time is too late and it's a bit off the highway (I-75) so it's not terribly convenient for an overnight stay, but we like it so much we overlook those things.

We loved our stay at McKinney in December. Our site had a spectacular view! When we arrived, we found the site very tidy. The staff does a great job of maintaining this campground.

Heaters were not turned on in shower house, 43 degrees outside temp. The only Negative about the the entire trip was the long waiting lines at the Dump station, two weeks prior we waited 45 minutes and this trip turned into one hour and fifteen minutes , The popularity of this campground warrants two dump stations, some one should have had the foresight to build an additional Dump station when closed to upgrade sewer lines

I stayed at 44 66 30 every spot offers something peace and comfort would definitely come back again and recommend to everyone.

Great campsite, with views of the lake. Clean restrooms and showers. Have already booked another trip.
