This campground was amazingly beautiful. The forest was gorgeous, all the sites are well-shaded and many are right on the lake. The sites were also spacious. Our family had 3 sites with everything from small pop-up trailer to a 40 foot with a Jeep in tow. Everyone had plenty of space. They are pontoon rentals nearby to explore the lake and some allow dogs to tag long. I highly recommend a visit here. I would say that the little ones that do not walk/climb well need to be watched carefully at quite a few of the sites which do have drop offs and are hilly. We loved it but I was glad we didn't have toddlers. There are not onsite hookups for sewage but there is a dumping station. The one downside for anyone with a camper that doesn't have a bathroom and/or tent campers, there are limited bathroom facilities, the walk was long. We particularly liked sites#87/#88, #109

Despite the rude welcome from the man and woman working the checkin, we had a good time in a perfect spot. Good spacing around our camp site. Everything is in good condition and well maintained. This one is close to home for us so just a warm up for the camping season before we head west (aka a chance to break more stuff).

Wr loved the campground. One of our favorites. But the people in the gate house are not very pleasant nor friendly.

So many sites are on the water. The bathhouses are not convenient to all sites.

McKinneys is close to home for us so when we can't make a long trip this gets us out for a day or 3. The campsites are well spaced, bathroomswell kept. It is good campgrounds for walking, not so much for bikes. Lotsof sites right on the lake. Only disappointing thing is it being closed for a big part of 2020. Looking forward to getting out there again

There was a power outage for several hours that created a lot of frustration with having to move our refrigerator items to a cooler which required going to get ice etc. No notification of an issue, I had to call to find out what was going on because we at first thought it was our camper that had issues.
