We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay at McKinney campground in our 38 ft. Class A. For the first 4 nights we were in a pullthrough overlook site right on the water. The 5th night we moved into the woods but that still was great! We would definitely book again if we were in the area.

They seem to have a tree placed perfectly at the entrance to every campsite that makes it hard to turn in. Dump site location also makes you have to trek the whole park to get to where you can turn into it.

Pros:Beautiful campgroundClose enough to AtlantaPlenty of space between sitesCons: Gate is locked during winter months by 9pm, so going to Marietta or Atlanta for shopping or dinner may have you stuck outside the gate, Plan accordingly. One Dump Site with two dumps for RVs. On Sunday when the crowds leave, the line was very long at the dump station.

Beautiful campground
Close enough to Atlanta
Plenty of space between sites
Cons:
Gate is locked during winter months by 9pm, so going to Marietta or Atlanta for
shopping or dinner may have you stuck outside the gate, Plan accordingly.
One Dump Site with two dumps for RVs. On Sunday when the crowds leave, the line was very long
at the dump station.
