McKinney has always been one of my favorite campgrounds. I just wish it wasn't so hard to get a campsite. Even trying six months in advance.

Very quiet and peaceful. Lots of deer visiting your sites makes this park all the more enjoyable.

Excellent weekday campground; not so much on the weekend.

Only complaint is that the dump station doesn't have hose hookup for flushing tank like other campgrounds. heard other campers complain about this also

There wasn’t even a dispenser for soap in the restrooms (much less soap!) Thankfully I brought my own the second time but then found the hand dryer didn’t work!

I heard gunshots throughout my stay so I’m guessing people were hunting nearby and random trucks kept riding through like they were scoping the place out.

Not sure I’ll go back to this one.

We loved site 079 and over all were very impressed with our first COE experience last weekend. The only reason I didn't put 5 stars was the dump station. We paid to stay through Sunday night so we didn't have to be in the very long line of people trying to dump on their way out at 3 pm, but even though we had no one behind us later we were at the dump station almost an hour trying to figure out how to get our kitchen gray tank, which sits well behind our axles, drained with the incline at the dump station working against us. We had the back wheels up on levelers but it was no good, we couldn't get the black tank fully drained cause it was tilted and couldn't get anything at all out of our kitchen gray tank which was full. We aren't using the camper again for 2 months so we had to hook it up again yesterday to take it to a commercial RV park where we could pay to use their dump station so we could get the tanks properly emptied. Now that we know, we'll just plan to skip the dump station whenever we camp there and take it somewhere we can pay. Unless your camper's holding tanks all sit forward from your sewer connection you will struggle to get your tanks empty and I'm kind of surprised to encounter this problem at a COE property.
