The park itself was nice. The exception is that we had multiple campsites and was missing a day in between. There was a lot of hassle from staff and then a park ranger insisting we move from our campsite prior to 3 oclock as in 1 oclock to go to another campsite location in the campground. Had to pay double on a couple of nights and cannot use my discount. The system doesnt allow you to book on some sites unless you book 2 days even though you only need one when youre in the same park. Then it ended up having to pay for , a campsite for two nights when I was able to get one at work in the same campground, but due to not being able to use my discount when booking it and the cancellation fee, as well as having to reserve two nights with all of the mishaps, I ended up paying more for three nights That did not get used then I did for seven nights. On top of it getting yelled at and the embarrassment from the front and park ranger calling me when we had to go do laundry telling me I needed to move campsites at 1:30 due to a family, wanting to check in early . There are no on-site facilities.

The host did an excellent job and very warm greeting us for the 2 weeks we were camping there.

The attendants were all very nice, the sites were great and the bath house was always clean.

Yet another great experience at Mckinney campground.. The whole camp shines with clean campsites and adjoining facilities. So very nice to see and interact with the Corp of Engineers Rangers on staff, adds a whole new level of security and professionalism. Speaking of staff, this years group of Hosts were once again providing outstanding service.My one suggestion if I may, relates to the use of our Senior Pass by perhaps adding the requirement to produce said pass at check in. I have no problem at all with this procedure ,but it would be helpful if this was added as a note to the reservation page.Thanks again.
